If you want food as authentically Italian as you can get in Texas, look no further. If you want good, affordable food in a family-oriented environment, again we have just the place. Amore’s has become a family favorite and with good reason. Everything is fresh and delicious and the owner and staff treat regulars like royalty.
It’s difficult to pick a favorite menu item, but we are partial to the calzones and stromboli because not only are they stuffed to the gills with meat, veggies, cheese and sauce, but they are $6.50 apiece and easily feed two people. Talk about a great deal! The pizza is also some of the best you can find in the area and on Tuesdays they offer a takeout special, 2 medium pizzas for $10. You’d have to be crazy to order Domino’s when you have Amore’s available instead. (And who cares if you have to pick it up? We’re talking good food here, people). The baked pastas are delicious, filling, and the ultimate comfort food on a cold winter night. The entrees such as chicken carciofini, chicken parmesan, and chicken Florentine are fresh and tasty as well. And who can forget everyone’s favorite standby, spaghetti and meatballs?
See what I mean? It’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite dish at Amore’s. Everything we have ordered here has been fresh and delicious.
They are BYOB so don’t forget to take a bottle of your favorite wine, if that’s your thing. And the owner frequently sits near the cash register and greets all the customers like old friends. Don’t be surprised if you get drawn into a friendly chat with him. It’s all part of the experience of Amore’s.
Amore’s is located at 1605 W. Northwest Highway in Grapevine.
