Butterfly Flutterby

The migration of the Monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico for the winter is truly a sight to behold. At the Butterfly Flutterby (try saying that three times fast!), you can enjoy a parade as well as a release of butterflies and all sorts of butterfly themed exhibits and entertainment. Come to Main Street on October 16 for the festivities. Parade registration begins at 8:45 in the parking lot at the intersection of Wall Street and Jenkins and parade line-up is at 9:30. The parade begins at 10:00 and goes toward the Cotton Belt Depot. After the parade, you can enjoy all the entertainment. It’s all free (unless you want to spring for $1 for popcorn too).

We did this last year with the kids – great fun and they all looked so cute in their costumes for the parade.
