At long last, a chill is in the air, and we finally start to turn our thoughts to things like pumpkins, hot chocolate, sweaters, and cozy fires. A great time to celebrate the leaves turning is to check out the Fall Round-Up at Nash Farm on October 9.
Nash Farm is a historic farm near downtown Grapevine, located at 626 Ball Street. It was started by the Nash family in the 1850s, and for many years was used to raise crops and livestock. Today the original house remains as well as the original barn and family cemetery, and the farm is owned by the Grapevine Heritage Foundation.
The Fall Round-Up is a great kid-friendly event. Activities include petting zoo, hayrides, pony rides, cotton picking, blacksmith demonstrations, a scarecrow contest and more. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be for sale, which makes this the perfect destination for lunch time since the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can call 817-410-3185 for additional information.
