Keep Grapevine Beautiful

It’s time once again for Keep Grapevine Beautiful on Saturday, October 16. This is a great effort by the city to get residents involved in picking up trash and debris around the city and lake. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we all work together.

This KGVB opportunity will be the second annual Trash and Treasures cleanup effort. While picking up trash, volunteers will search for Mardi Gras beads hidden in the debris which may be exchanged for prizes. What a great “spoonful of sugar” to help the medicine of cleaning up the city go down.

Registration is at 8:00 a.m. and cleanup is until 11:00 a.m. (cleanup supplies such as trash bags and gloves will be provided). Locations are Dove Park at 1509 Hood Lane and Memorial Baptist Church at 3000 William D. Tate Avenue. There will be a picnic of hamburgers and hot dogs at the Dove Park location after the cleanup project. Prizes may be claimed at the picnic.

Visit the KGVB website for more information.
