The Grapevine Vintage Railroad has great holiday events and Christmas is, of course, no exception. (Since Grapevine is the Christmas capital of Texas, after all). The Christmas Wine Trains run for three Thursdays in a row, on December 9th, 16th, and 23rd. It’s a little early, but as busy as the holidays get, never too soon to plan.
Tickets are $36 and include a complimentary drink in a Christmas wine glass. Appetizers will also be served. Each date has a featured local winery (Su Vino on the 9th, D’Vine Wine on the 16th, and Cross Timbers on the 23rd) which will have representatives along for the ride to answer any questions and educate guests on their wines. Cash bars will be available to purchase these wines during the train ride. There will also be Christmas music and loads of holiday cheer.
Trains depart at 7:30 p.m., travel to the Ft. Worth stockyards and then return, and arrive back at the Grapevine depot about 9:30 p.m.
