Early voting has begun

Early voting for the Crime Control and Prevention District and City Officer election began yesterday, May 2.  Early voting runs through May 10 and Election Day is May 14.

The early voting at the Community Activities Center will be on the following schedule:

May 2 through May 6 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

May 7 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

May 8 – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

May 9 through May 10 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

I am a big fan of early voting as it allows you to vote at a convenient time and away from crowds.  I plan on heading that way sometime this week to get it done.

Also, on Election Day, May 14, there will be parking in front of the Community Activities Center reserved for voters due to additional traffic downtown due to Main Street Days.
