We’ve been waiting since last May and it is now almost here – the annual Main Street Days festival! There is tons of fun to be had including great food, wine, live music, carnival rides/games, arts and crafts, and train rides on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Come out on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (May 13-15) to check it out.
This year’s theme is “A Pizza Experience” and to go along with that, the festival will feature unique pizzas from local restaurants. You can try them all and vote for your favorite pizza. Among the vendors will be Cliff’s Star Grill, Farina’s, I Fratelli, Napoli’s, Palio’s, and Papa Murphy’s. Conspicuously absent is my personal favorite, Amore’s. Hmmm….In any event, it looks like there will be some great variety. You can read more about each vendor’s planned menu offerings here.
Also, those of you who favor outdoor cooking may be interested in checking out the grilling competition.
As usual for Grapevine festivals, there will be plenty of live music all day and evening, on four stages plus the Grapevine Opry.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free on Friday before 5:30. After that, adults are $7 and children/seniors are $5 (children under 6 are free). They also have weekend passes available.
