Freebirds Coming to Grapevine

There has been a rumor floating around for the Freebirds franchise, a restaurant from College Station specializing in burritos, coming to Grapevine.  I know the place where it was supposed to be, but I didn’t want to post about it until I had confirmed information.  And today is that day.

I drove by the old Boston Market building on William D. Tate and 114, next to The Original Pancake House and Buffalo Wild Wings, and sure enough, there is a sign in the window, saying “an application to sell and consume alcohol….” and had Freebirds World in the name of the sign.  Apparently this is some sort of TABC rule.

Anyway, here it is.  No idea when it will open, but I’m sure we’ll be there the day it does.  If you haven’t had a Freebirds burrito, think of Chipotle but with different sizes and more variety of choices.  The freshness of Freebirds is also great.

I think you mean July 2011? Anyway, thanks for posting! I have been watching Freebirds website to see if/when they would make an announcement about pending store openings. And there it is!
