The Texas Rangers are 2 wins away from another World Series! So exciting! It’s been a little disjointed with the rain delays, postponements and date changes, but it is definitely GAME ON for tonight at 7 p.m. Since today’s game is in Detroit, we’ll have to find a spot to huddle around a big screen TV to watch the action. My top 5 options:
Pluckers – Probably my favorite spot to watch a game. Their patio is great and the weather should be perfect for outdoors. And they have a lot of big TVs; all around the edges of the patio as well as inside, so the view from any angle is a pretty good one.
Buffalo Wild Wings – The energy in this place during a game is always high. It’s bound to be VERY crowded so go early to grab a good table. I recommend the potato wedges and, of course, wings. What a coincidence too – it’s Wing Tuesday and wings are 45 cents each.
Peace Burger – Some of the best burgers in town and super cheap. Peace Burger is a little out of the way and probably won’t be quite as crowded as other spots, so if you are like some of us and like your personal space, this would be a good option.
Bottlecap Alley Icehouse – Good, cheap burgers, new patio and plenty of TVs. BCA is not fancy but always reliable.
BoomerJack’s – I can’t post about sports bars or sports watching without mentioning my favorite patio. Also, I’ve recently discovered some fairly healthy options at Boomer’s. Try the marinated chicken skewers. I have recently ordered them with broccoli and jalapeno cheddar mashed potatoes (OK, so cheddar mashed potatoes aren’t the healthiest thing in the world, but better than french fries in any case). Bring your laptop to liveblog or follow the action online.
