Weekend happenings around Grapevine

I know we’re forecasted to get some rain this weekend (and may I just say, thank the Lord for that!), but in between the raindrops, here are some fun things that we can take advantage of.  The temperatures should be very nice regardless, so it will be a good weekend to be out and about.

Nash Farm Fall Roundup – The 11th annual Fall Roundup will be held Saturday the 8th at Nash Farm (626 Ball Street) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  There will be pony rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin carving, a homemade scarecrow contest, and other fun things, and hot dogs and hamburgers will be for sale.  This is always a great family-friendly event.

For a Few Dollars More at Palace Arts Center – This is part of the series of classic movies on Friday nights at the retro PAC.  $5 will get you in and a receipt from a local Grapevine restaurant will get you free popcorn.

Live music – The usual suspects have some good options for music around town this weekend – Tolberts, The Tap In, Cork It!, Into the Glass, and Glass Cactus.

Texas Coin Show – Grapevine Convention Center, 1209 S. Main Street.  Friday (2-6 pm), Saturday (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and Sunday (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).  Admission is just $3 and includes drawings for gold coins.  Coin collectors, this one is for you!
