It isn’t as exciting as going out on a Friday night, but at some point in time we all need to know where to go for an oil change or State Inspection on our vehicles. I would highly suggest that we stay in Grapevine for these services, as there are plenty of places around to choose from.
Traditionally I have used Valvoline Franchised Establishments for my oil changes. I’ve used Valvoline in my cars for years and its always performed wonderfully. There are 2 or 3 Valvoline places on Highway 26 in Grapevine, and the most noticeable is probably Mustang Elite. They are located at 2125 Ira E Woods, right across from the Wal-Mart and Sam’s Shopping Centers. For a long time now they have given a free carwash coupon with every oil change, and just recently they built a brand new oil change facility with larger bays and a nicer waiting area. I actually visited them yesterday and got the oil changed in my Kia Spectra. It cost $35 and I was done in less than 15 minutes. You might not have this speedy of service every time, if you consider lines that develop during the weekend hours, but during the week it is a fast process.
For State Inspections, I have just recently discovered the Kwik Kar in Grapevine, located at 901 W. Northwest Hwy. In the last 2 months I have taken all 3 of my vehicles in for their annual inspection and I have never waited longer than about 20 minutes. The guys there are fast and friendly and, above all, honest. I get answers to the questions I ask and if there is any problem with my car, they inform me about it before adding it to the cost without asking. These Kwik Kar establishments are typically owner-franchised businesses, so I am happy to be supporting a business owner in Grapevine. Kwik Kar also does oil changes and full-service automotive maintenance, although I haven’t personally used them yet. I am sure the time will come when I will have a need to, though.
Next time you need to take your car in for either of these check-ups, consider one of the above places. I know you won’t be disappointed.
